I thought this was the sweetest thing the other night. Haley crawled up on the futon with Chloe and fell asleep. They really are good buddies. Chloe is obsessed with all three of the kiddos.

I made a pumpkin!

Today I took Haley to Micheals to decorate her very own pumpkin. We had a great time. She picked all the decorations and told us right where to hot glue them. I thought the lady helping us was going to take Haley home, she enjoyed her. I love the fall. It's my favorite season. Sometimes I fantasize about moving a little north so we could really experience a fall season. Posted by Picasa

Coral Reef

Bryce read The Cay at school and then had to make a coral reef with the plants and fish from the story. He had a great time doing this with his Grandpa Billy. Great job!

Our Furry Family

How sweet are these girls? They bring so much happiness to our little world. They are good buddies too. I came across this beautiful story and wanted to post it next to our sweet pups who bring so much joy to our family.....
A Dog's Purpose
A Dog's Purpose (from a 6-year-old).Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker 's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, 'I know why.'Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. He said, 'People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?' The Six-year-old continued, 'Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.'Live simply.Love generously.Care deeply.Speak kindly.Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.
Take naps
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.
ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!

Soccer Boy

It's so nice to see our little man getting back in the swing of things! He was released from the doctor last week to go back to all sports! He was soooo happy. Seeing how he loves to play sports and is on a soccer, flag football, and swim team. Bryce was bit by a poisonous snake during our Labor day adventure to the C&R ranch. I will blog about his awful experience sometime soon. I did say blogging was like therapy right? God knows I need it after watching my boy go through that experience! We are so thankful that he is recovering well!

An Amazing 14 years.....

Here is a picture of us during our engagement and then our wedding day and
we snapped an anniversary pic of us while taking a beautiful night walk on the beach. We had a lovely night together celebrating our love for each other. I love this man! Last night when we got home and I snuggled in on the couch with a full belly from Outback Steakhouse....Ralph went and got a blanket and covered me up. I said, "why are you so good to me?" He said, "Till death do us part." He's my soul-mate. It gets better every year sweetie. Thanks to my BFF Darlene for setting us up on a blind date!

Disney on Ice

We took the girls to Disney on Ice. We had such great time. The girls absolutely loved it. They had little smiles on their faces the whole time. Ralph and I were definitely having a "sweet moment" with those precious girls. Every couple of minutes Haley would hug one of us and say "thank you, mommy and daddy!" Priceless.

Sweet Chloe

Our sweet little Chloe doesn't feel good. Look at that pitiful face. We finally made the decision to have her spade. The kids have been so good to her, giving her lots of lovin'. Chloe's little world has been nothing but fun....so she's in a little shock right now! She's just like my kiddos.....very sensitive!

Read My Foot Mommy!

When my little one asked me to "read her foot to her today" (which meant play "This Little Piggy Went to The Market.") I thought it was soooo cute! How am I going to remember all of these cute little memories? I will never remember all the super sweet moments by the time I get to scrapbook it all! I thought...I should blog! Everyone is doing it! I even heard it was like cheap therapy! Hopefully....this will help me capture some of these sweet moments....that I NEVER want to forget. Life is so good.
